ATTA signed MoU with Donic

 

 

The Assam Table Tennis Association (ATTA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with leading manufacturer of table tennis equipment M/S Donic.      
            

On behalf of ATTA, its secretary Tridib Duvarah and CEO of Donic in India Neeraj Aggarwal signed the MoU here today in presence of ATTA president and State Minister Rakibul Hussain. Donic is a German based company and presently one of the world’s leading manufacturer of the TT equipment which are used by top paddlers like formerworld champions Jan-Ove Waldner and Jorgan Persson.

Aggarwal, after signing the MoU said, two top class boards will be presented to the ATTA and they will provide subsidy
to the registered players under the State TT body. They will set up stalls during all the 10 State ranking meets in different places and players and non-players will be given subsidy, minimum 30 percent, on every items. He also revealed that the ATTA registered players can purchase items in subsidized rates at the outlets in the States showing their registration cards.

Hussain said, this MoU will be benefited for the State players as they will get quality equipment in reasonable price. He also mentioned that they are trying heart out to bring back the past glory of the State TT by organizing tournaments and coaching camps, even with foreign coaches. Hussain hoped now onwards the beginners will also get best quality bats and balls to start with.

 

Duvarah said, due to non-availability of world class equipment, the ATTA could not provide the required infrastructure to the players in the State meets. But now on wards players of all category will get the best possible equipment. He further revealed that the State teams for the national championships will also be sponsored by Donic and also the balls for the State level tournaments. Former international TT players of the State Nandini Baruah, Carfew Roy and Gautam Hazarika were also present on the occasion.
